New Housing Construction Costs Index maintained slight acceleration

The year-on-year change rate of the new housing construction costs index, in the Mainland, was 1.7% in December, up by 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) from the rate observed in November. The year-on-year change rate of the price index of regular maintenance and repair of housing diminished 0.1 p.p., in December, to a rate of 1.6%. The annual average growth rate of the new housing construction cost index was 0.6% in 2016 (0.3% in the previous year) while the Housing Regular Maintenance and Repair Price Index presented a growth rate of 0.6% in 2016 (null in 2015)
