Portugal: February imports and exports neck and neck at about 9% increase

Lisbon, Apr. 10 (Lusa) – Portuguese exports increased 9% and imports 8.9% in February compared with the same month in 2016, and the trade balance worsened to €746 million, the Portuguese National Statistics Institute (INE) said on Monday.

In January, exports and imports had year-on-year increases of 19.1% and 22.4%, respectively.

The INE also said that without including fuel and lubricants, exports increased by 5.5% and imports by 4%.
