Lisbon, May 18 (Lusa) – The ‘Seguradoras Unidas’ group confirmed on Thursday that it had a “downsizing programme” in place for up until 2018 for employees from the former Tranquilidade and Açoreana insurance companies that were merged, but refused to say exactly how many people would be affected.
Insurance company union SINAPSA today accused the company’s owner, Apollo, of wanting to illegally fire “380 workers from Seguradoras Unidas after integrating Açoreana into Tranquilidade.
