Motorway tolls in Portugal are expected to rise by 0.62% in January since that is the inflation rate, without housing, published by the Portuguese National Statistics Institute (INE) on Wednesday.
In 2014 and 2015 tolls remained unchanged since the inflation rates were both negative (-0.27% and -0.12%).
The last toll hike was in 2013 and it was 2.03%.
The increases will be rounded to the nearest 5 cents.
