Lisbon, Nov. 4 (Lusa) – The well-being index in Portugal improved in 2015 and continued the recovery that began in 2013, according to figures from the National Statistics Institute (INE) published on Friday.

Between 2004 and 2011 the well-being index continuously improved, but fell in 2012. It then recovered in 2013 and 2014.

INE’s well-being index is based on other indexes that assess material conditions and quality of life of the Portuguese population.

Over the last decade, the material living conditions index has fallen, but the quality of life index has continually improved. However the material conditions index is expected to have recovered in 2015.
