Lisbon, Oct. 28 (Lusa) – The Portuguese federation of state-worker unions has announced it is going to strike on 18 November so its members can participate in demonstrations scheduled for that Friday.
The unions are demanding, among other things, a 4% pay rise (ensuring at least another €50 a month) and promotions in their careers.
The protest involves all 35 public sector unions, but the consular union said it would not be joining in the protests.
