The Sea is constantly brought to life by fishing, recreational and sports vessels. Apart from the traditional water-sports, such as sailing or angling, the Póvoa beach has also been taken over by other sports, for example surfing and body boarding. The sea really seems to be a great source of sporting inspiration, since near it we can find these major facilities: Olympic Swimming Pool Complex, Municipal Tennis and Squash Academy, Football Stadium and Multipurpose Sports Hall.
