In 2005, the Vila do Conde City Council initiated important beneficial work with the hopes of improving this property to ensure the stability of the building, while creating conditions for the conservation of the important collection installed there. Additionally, in the Benilde House, a Project was developed that aimed at installing the Regiane Studies Centre plus a range of services in support of Jose Regio House, such as a reception room, a temporary exhibition hall and an auditorium.
