Description
Originally formed by 999 arches, with about 4 km, it is the second longest aqueduct in Portugal. The artificial canal was built between 1705 and 1714 from the Santa Clara Convent to the east (Terroso, Póvoa de Varzim), with the aim of bringing water to the monastery fountain, through its arches.
