Description
The oldest walls of Caminha dating from the eighteenth century, during the reign of King Afonso III. In the fourteenth century John I endows the fortress of a second line of wall. But it`s in the seventeenth century, following the wars of the Restoration, when are built the ramparts and towers of the fortress. The walls which still remains, a few dozen meters of walled waist, are medieval and partly eighteenth century.
