The (Manor House) Casa da Tapada, a building of Public Interest, built in the sixteenth century, in the township of Fiscal, belonging to residential civil architecture, in mannerist and baroque style.
It was built by the poet Francisco de Sá Miranda and remained his house throughout the last years of his life. "The Manor House constitutes a main body of mannerist lines whose planimetry develops in L form, repeating a common typology of stately homes built at the time, the façade is marked by the arrangement of windows and doors at regular intervals, featured at a regular rate".
From the estate of Casa da Tapada, (Manor House) the white wine and sparkling wine “Casa da Tapada” is produced. Located in an isolated rural area and is surrounded by extensive vineyard fields and woods that are part of the estate as well the rustic buildings and a granary.
