Castro das Ermidas

Vila Nova de Famalicão
Description
The Parish of Jesufrei has always been a point of human settlement, as the archaeological remains of the castro of Ermidas (Alms Chapels) in the vicinity of this parish, who claim the presence of man in this region perhaps since the 4th century BC, during the iron-age, and the latter Romanesque Monument, the Monastery of Arnoso; or the “Buraco do Olheiro” (Hole of the Observer), with its medieval bridge, which is still maintained for pedestrian use. This is a historical place, mysterious and of curious myths.
