Chapel of Santa Justa and Chapel of S. Sabino, Leisure Park and Belvedere
The Chapel of Santa Justa is located on the top of the mountain, dating from 1936. It has a rectangular floor plan, a single nave and gabled roof topped by pinnacles. The main façade has a narthex, from which the quadrangular bell tower stands. The tower is topped by a pyramidal roof, which is topped by a ball and a cross. It is based on doric columns and it has a crack and the openings for the bells.
Further down, on the west side, it is located the chapel of St. Sabino, the disabled protector. S. Sabino was bishop of Seville until 304. S. Sabino was punished (his hands were mutilated) for having removed the bodies of Santa Justa and her sister Santa Rufina from the well to where their mortal remains had been launched for having buried them in a christian cemetery. It has a rectangula rfloor plan with a single nave and gabled roof with a cross at the summit. The early chapel is dedicated to Santa Justa, was built in the XI century, being restored in 1870. In 1998 it was requalified and dedicated to S. Sabino.
These two temples are framed by a leisure area, from which there is a panoramic view over the cities of Valongo and Porto, as well as over the surroundings. The river Douro and the Atlantic Ocean can be seen from here.
