Our Lady of Lapa is located in Penamourinho, parish of Soutelo. It was built in 1694 thanks to João Gonçalves and his wife Margarida da Silva. This Chapel is known for its originality, because it was built inside of a rock. There are some curiosity about this Chapel, for example, the entrance door dates from 1898, the inscriptions in the ceiling and the Sanctuary history surrounds with a frame which was write in 1851 by the Priest José Maria Machado. On the Sanctuary proximities, there are a bandstand, many fountains and a belvedere. The annual popular festivity is in the second Sunday of July.
