Description


Architectural heritage consists of 46 examples illustrating the daily life of the Castro Laboreiro people in times of yore. Of the 44 seats of the two parishes 38 have one or more community ovens.
Rectangular plan with coverage gable roof formed by granite slabs leaning against the rock. Walls built on both sides, irregular. Main facade with rectangular door on the left corner, which is the only way of getting lighting in the interior. Inside, opposite the entrance door stands the oven and paved floor chamber. The opening is small  and rectangular and preceded by a parapet, under which opens a hollow in order to place some ashes. Floor made of clay. Triangular ceiling.
