In the valley of the river Ferreira, more precisely on the right bank, there is the Couce small village, with ancient and rural experiences, whose lifestyle is related with the land and the local resources, despite the small distance between the cities of Valongo (4km) and Porto (11km). It was recently classified as Aldeia de Portugal. A visit to the Couce village allows us to go back in time being easily accessible through the “Corredor Ecológico” (Ecological Corridor), a route between the urban area of the city of Valongo and the Mountains.
