The Equestrian Center of Cabeceiras de Basto has an indoor riding arena for education and vaulting training, heating ring, a jumping field, fourteen boxes for different type of horses, whether small “garrana” or “Lusitano” breeds. In addition to its tourist fulfilment, it is provided with the teaching for riding and carriage driving and riding lessons with different modalities, not forgetting the therapeutic riding. Throughout the year recreational activities are held (equestrian events, contests, shows, and guided tours). Usually in May, at the Equestrian Center of Vinha de Mourous the Horse Fair takes place.
