Location with a 360 degree panoramic view, from which we can overlook much of the territory of the county of Sabrosa and Region. Here we have the perfect idea of the characteristics of the county, to the south the vineyard landscape completely dominates the look and to the north dominates the mountain landscape.
Souto Maior is right in the centre of this division, and is the most practical example of this vision.
The Fonte dos Mouros is also linked to an ancient legend, according to which the Moorish, on his expulsion, had to leave their fortunes back; taking advantage of the "cliffs" they hide their fortunes within them, by a kind of enchantment. The legend tells that it was usual the shepherds find in the top of the crag, "Fonte dos Mouros", several remains, including gold, however, they never managed to rescue them.
