One of the most beautiful and old religious monuments of the council, the main church of Fafe is located in the centre of the town. The main urban area developed around this beautiful medieval temple, rebuilt and expanded in the 18th century. Its façade is simple and balanced, and it boasts on the inside magnificent altars, one of which has a gilt-carved wood altarpiece in Rococo style. The two towers and the baroque façade were added in the 18th century.
