It is a rural village, located in the place of Junqueira de Baixo, Junqueira parish. The old bridge enriches this place. Most of the houses are built in granite, being some of them restored by its owners, keeping the original character. Some tributaries of Rio Arões flow in this place, enriching the local flora.
