It is classified as property of public interest by Decree No. 23122 of 10/11/1933.The Pillory is located in front of the old Town Hall building, near the Parish Church. The pillory of Macieira de Cambra dates from the XVI century and it is built in “manueline” style. It corresponds to the granting of the charter given by King D. Manuel I to Macieira de Cambra, on the 10th February, 1514.
