Medieval Cemetery of Touças

Description

The necropolis of Touças is located  next to an old  rural path, which linked Garganta  and Vilar de Celas. It is a place with excellent conditions for agriculture and animal husbandry, being irrigated by a stream along  the path, these conditions  justify the ancient  occupation. This cemetery consists  of five remarkable graves: three doubles and two single, chronologically associated to the high Middle  Ages,  Reconquest  period , X to XI centuries.
