The Minho river Greenway, runs through the municipalities of Monção, Valença and Vila Nova de Cerveira, in a total of 36 linear kilometers, along the Portuguese bank of the river Minho.
The route is quite flat, although with a gentle downward slope, in the direction of Monção to Vila Nova de Cerveira, for that we recommend that it should be done in that way. The distance that separates these two locations at their ends is 36 km and is very accessible even for those who do not have the habit of pedaling. But if you think the distance is too much for you, you can choose to take a shorter route, between Valença and V. N. de Cerveira, with only 16 km, which is also suitable to do in the company of the childrens.
We have available the shuttle service (to Valença or Monção) + the bicycle rental, or simply one of two things. Then just let yourself be driven by what is considered the 3rd European Greenway (by the European Greenway Award).
