Miradouro de Pardelhas

Vila Nova de Cerveira
Description

From this privileged viewpoint, with 400 m of altitude, onde can observe the meeting point of the Minho River with the sea. This unique landscape is characterized by a dominant framing of mountains on both riverbanks and the marshes of the Minho and Coura rivers estuaries. The slopes become less and less steep as we approach the river and allow the gradual installation of villages and cultivated fields on the deposits left by the Minho River, transformed into flat and fertile soil. In the village of Pardelhas, located in the middle of a fertile meadow, is the chapel of St.Abedão, sorrounded by abundant riparian vegetation, characteristic of this place, where the European Grey Willows and the Birch stand out.
