The Port Wine Museum is a building from the XVIII century which was the warehouse of the Vinhos da Companhia Geral de Agricultura da Vina do Alto Douro (General Agriculture Wine Company of the Upper Douro Vineyard). The Museum intends to be the information center of Port Wine, motivating the visitors to discover the association of the commercial history of the city with this worldly known wine.
