The Museum of Roman Culture is situated in the “Solar de Ponte” (Manor House), which is owned by the Martins Sarmento Society. It was built in the 18th and 19th centuries and has a beautiful park. It was the residence of Francisco Martins Sarmento and his family. The Museum of Pre-Roman Culture is dedicated to a native culture that only exists on the Iberian peninsular and is the cultural origin of the Atlantic side of the region.
