Penhas Altas de Lordelo Bridge and Mills

Description
It is a bridge built in stone, situated in a valley, in the place of Penhas Altas, parish of Lordelo. It was built in the XVII century and it is characterized by two vaulted archs, carved in a round arch. The tray floor retains a very irregular flagstone. In the Penhas Altas place, it is possible to see some water mills along the banks of the river Ferreira. The water mills had an extremely important role in Lordelo history. Some time ago, the baking industry was the main activity of this land.
