The beach has a shell-shaped morphology guarded by a dune system, offering this space a microclimate. To the North, the beach of Carrasqueira reveals some of the secrets of the natural evolution of the coast, here we find an ancient Beach consists of sand and pebbles rolled resulting from small oscillations of the ascent and descent of the seas during the period of some tens of thousands of years. Here and throughout the North Coast, we find ancient structures of artisanal fishing, the "câmboas". Beach awarded with Golden Quality.
