The Presença Gallery is a commercial gallery which was founded in 1995 and since then, directed by Maria de Belém Sampaio. In 1998 it changed its facilities for Miguel Bombarda street where are concentrated most contemporary art galleries of Porto.
The presentation line includes the divulgation of the work of artists of national and international scene. The gallery represents some of the most famous Portuguese artists of different generations. In the international art scene Presence Gallery has been presenting the work of emerging artists and extremely relevant in contemporary art, as it has made an effort to disseminate the Portuguese art abroad.
