The Quinta de Santa Cruz is included in the Vinho Verde wine tour, whose aim is to promote the development of the tourist potential of the Vinho Verde Demarcated Region in its various aspects, from wine-growing to the final production of top quality wines.
The vineyards of the Quinta Sta. Cruz cover a 3 hectare area and are grown by using 3 different methods. The "Upper Vineyard" is planted in a Spine shape and the "Lower Vineyard" in a String shape. Around these two there are paths covered by vine trellises. The Rua das Flores at the centre of the property is quite beautiful, with its wonderful flowers and intense greenery.
The farm has been equipped with new technology to perform all the tasks relating to wine production, bottling and storage.
It is possible to sample the "Quinta de Santa Cruz" and "Encosta da Maia" wines and appetisers inside the cellar or on the outside, depending on the weather.
Average visit lasts 15 min.
