Roman Bridge of Peirezes

Description

Small stone bridge with a single arch bearing remnants of the Roman path and surrounded by vegetation. Built above the River Rabagão in a place confirmed as a military roman pathway. This Roman pathway was built in the time of the first Roman Emperor César Augustus.

In this Region this roman pathway is an integrating part of the route of the Roman military Pathway, between Braga and Astorga, described in the Itinerary of Antonino.
