The sea beaches of the Minho’s mouth, Moledo do Minho, Vila Praia de Âncora and Fort are a brand image of the entire Caminha region. Very busy, they provide the best environment for an unforgettable summer season.
The Moledo beach is one of the most renowned in the North; it welcomes people from all over the country, attracted by the extensive beaches and the sea as well as the therapeutic characteristics attributed to the local iodine concentration
Close to the Âncora’s mouth, is the Gelfa beach very popular among surfers.
Vila Praia de Âncora’s beach also provides everything sea lovers look for. The extensive beaches, the sea and views, it is suitable for restricted mobility individuals, for its reserved parking space and approach ramp suitably sloped. The sea inlets characteristics and safety have made it widely known as the children’s beach.
Beyond their natural beauty, these beaches are superb for the nautical sports, windsurf, sailing, kite-surf, body board to name a few.

Further to the ocean beaches the municipality offers very good river leisure locations; Vilar de Mouros where the Coura River flows quietly down to meet the Minho, following its course from Lanhelas to Seixas, with its mouth at the Foz River beach, still by the river Âncora. It is possible in these river areas to enjoy several water sports such as water ski, canoeing, rowing, pedalo riding and other leisure boats.
