Founded in 1930, by canon Manuel de Aguiar Barreiros, this museum is housed in the former Chapter House, which has been recently restored and enlarged to better display the museum´s rich collections, notably precious metal-work and church vestments. A carefull selection of works leads visitors to relive the life of Jesus Christ, as ell as the vast history of the church of Braga, from the 5th to 20th centuries.
