The construction of this monumental space, which began in some perspectives during the roman period (pharo place name), have been held in the 15th century by Álvaro Pais Grade, suffering constant updates regarding its spatiality and function. It is, not unlike “Giela”, an example of medieval’ s tower-house, integrating a three-storey square tower with battlements and stone weapons, as well as a residential wing of rectangular shape back to back, with two storey, built in a later period.
