The Paredes Public Art Circuit (CAPP) is the result of an initiative of the Municipality of Paredes together with School of Arts of the Universidade Católica (Catholic University), through the Centro de Investigação en Ciência e Tecnologia das Artes (CITAR) (Science and Technology of Arts Center Research), which aimed to transform the city in an open space museum of contemporary art closely related with both, local community and heritage. The circuit consists of 18 works and more 9 ephemeral instalations created by renowned national and international artists, expressing the different possibilities of intervention in the public space and the diversity of contemporary art. This important collection of contemporary art helped to enrich the public space of Paredes, reinforcing its potential as a tourist attraction and as a Creative City focused in Furniture Design.
