The preserved village of Granja do Tedo and old bridge

Tabuaço
Description
Granja do Tedo is the most unique village of Tabuaço due to its many legends and historical features.

It consists of two settlements: the upper settlement, which is older, and the lower settlement, both linked by a magnificent Romanesque bridge perhaps from the 17th century, over the Tedo River.

At this site, the river forms a wonderful river beach enjoyed by locals and visitors during the hot summer months, surrounded by a huge landscaped space decorated with a number of glazed tiles that depict a beautiful local legend.

Seen from above, the upper settlement, which is older, shows an incredible urban distribution skilfully spread around the parish church, between the river and the mountain.
