The "Quinta da Telhada" is located in an area with breathtaking scenery on the north bank of the River Douro. Located about 30 kilometers from Moncorvo and about 9 kilometers from the village of Lousa.
Until 2004 the grapes were sold to wineries that turned into Porto. In this year part of the production was reserved and its owner, José Luís Carvalho, began producing wine under the Slopes QWPSR designation "Encostas de Lousa".
Product / Market Brands: "Encostas da Lousa Tinto" and "Encostas da Lousa Branco
The production varieties are "Touriga Nacional", "Touriga Franca", "Tinta Roriz" and "Malvasia Fina", "Gouveio" and "Moscatel Galego Branco"
