Quinta do Bacêlo is situated in the North of Portugal in Douro Region, Termas S. Vicente – Penafiel, 40 km far from Porto city and 5 km far from Douro river, 50 km from: Régua; Guimarães; Lamego; Amarante; Braga, etc.  The “Quinta do Bacêlo” is a 19th century rustic house build with stone, surrounded by vineyards “Vinho Verde” and orchards, flanked by a large garden with a swimming pool, from where there is a magnificent view over the surrounding countryside. It also has a beautiful chapel dedicated to St. Anthony. The local region has a long-standing gastronomic tradition and is steeped in history, with some traces of Roman civilization still remaining. Now you can visit the “Rota do Românico” and the Magicland. The nearby rivers of Tâmega and Douro afford the opportunity for countryside walks, fishing and water sports (a Golf-club “Vale de Pisões” is 40 km away). Booking on request 5 rooms (5 rooms and BWs; 1 Studio 2+2) lounge; dinning-room; library. Large and comfortable rooms with classical furniture, all with balcony, the floor is in wood and marble bathrooms with bath-tub, central heating, TV. and a beautiful vineyard sightseeing.
